About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to lead and manage our integrated rural development programs in Nandurbar, focusing on tribal and rural communities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing successful development initiatives, a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural and tribal populations, and a strong commitment to community empowerment. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project implementation, ensuring effective community engagement, and achieving sustainable development outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for integrated rural development programs.
    • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of various project components, including agriculture, livelihoods, education, health, and infrastructure development.
    • Ensure that project activities are aligned with community needs and priorities.
    • Monitor project progress and identify potential challenges, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Community Engagement and Mobilization:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with tribal and rural communities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
    • Facilitate participatory planning processes and ensure active community involvement in project implementation.
    • Organize and conduct community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
    • Mobilize communities to participate in project activities and take ownership of development initiatives.
  • Livelihood Development:
    • Design and implement programs to enhance livelihoods and income generation opportunities for rural and tribal communities.
    • Provide technical support and training on sustainable agriculture practices, micro-enterprise development, and other livelihood-related activities.
    • Facilitate access to market linkages and financial services.
  • Education and Health:
    • Coordinate initiatives to improve access to quality education and healthcare services in rural and tribal villages.
    • Work with local schools and health centers to implement programs that address community needs.
    • Promote awareness of health and hygiene practices.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress and impact.
    • Collect and analyze data to assess project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular progress reports and evaluation reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Reporting:
    • Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and other partner organizations.
    • Prepare and submit timely and accurate project reports to donors and stakeholders.
    • Represent the organization at relevant meetings and events.
  • Budget Management:
    • Monitor Project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
    • Maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in implementing integrated rural development programs, preferably in tribal areas.
  • Proven experience in community mobilization and participatory development approaches.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by rural and tribal communities.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Language Skills:

  • Proficient in English (both spoken and written).
  • Proficient in Marathi (spoken).
