About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for supporting our mission. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and performance management. Experience in the NGO sector is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Conduct thorough onboarding programs to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Mediate and resolve employee conflicts and grievances.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management systems.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to employees.
- Identify and address performance issues.
- Create and implement training and development programs.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Manage the organization’s compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct salary surveys and ensure competitive compensation.
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance and leave policies.
- HR Policies and Procedures:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- Strategic HR Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic plan.
- Align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide HR expertise and guidance to senior management.
- NGO Sector-Specific Tasks (if applicable):
- Understanding of donor compliance related to HR.
- Experience with volunteer management.
- Familiarity with the unique HR challenges of the NGO sector.
Qualifications:
- MBA in Human Resources or Master of Social Work (MSW).
- 4-5 years of experience in HR management.
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Experience in the NGO sector is highly desirable.
Language Skills:
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Hindi (spoken).
- Proficiency in Marathi (spoken).
