About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Project Officer to join our team and support the implementation of our WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and/or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community development and a strong understanding of project management principles. You will play a vital role in coordinating project activities, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of our programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Implementation:
    • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of WASH and/or STEM projects.
    • Coordinate project activities, including workshops, training sessions, and community outreach programs.
    • Ensure timely and accurate data collection and reporting.
    • Maintain project documentation and records.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local authorities, and partner organizations.
    • Facilitate community meetings and awareness campaigns.
    • Mobilize communities to participate in project activities.
    • Address community concerns and feedback.
  • Training and Capacity Building:
    • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs on WASH and/or STEM topics.
    • Provide support to participants and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
    • Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare regular progress reports and project updates.
    • Maintain accurate records of project activities and expenditures.
    • Contribute to the development of project proposals and reports.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
    • Attend project meetings and represent the organization as required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in project coordination or community development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of WASH and/or STEM principles (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in field settings.

Language Skills:

  • Bengaluru: Fluent in Kannada (both spoken and written).
  • Goa: Fluent in Marathi (both spoken and written).
