About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Project Officer to join our team and support the implementation of our WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and/or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community development and a strong understanding of project management principles. You will play a vital role in coordinating project activities, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of our programs.
Responsibilities:
- Project Implementation:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of WASH and/or STEM projects.
- Coordinate project activities, including workshops, training sessions, and community outreach programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate data collection and reporting.
- Maintain project documentation and records.
- Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local authorities, and partner organizations.
- Facilitate community meetings and awareness campaigns.
- Mobilize communities to participate in project activities.
- Address community concerns and feedback.
- Training and Capacity Building:
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs on WASH and/or STEM topics.
- Provide support to participants and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular progress reports and project updates.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities and expenditures.
- Contribute to the development of project proposals and reports.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
- Attend project meetings and represent the organization as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
- 1-2 years of experience in project coordination or community development.
- Knowledge and understanding of WASH and/or STEM principles (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work in field settings.
Language Skills:
- Bengaluru: Fluent in Kannada (both spoken and written).
- Goa: Fluent in Marathi (both spoken and written).
