About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Project Executive to join our team and contribute to our Solid Waste Management (SWM) initiatives in Kakatpur, Puri District. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of community mobilization and experience in delivering training programs. You will play a crucial role in engaging with local communities, building their capacity, and ensuring the successful implementation of our SWM projects.
Responsibilities:
- Community Mobilization:
- Develop and implement strategies for community engagement and mobilization.
- Build strong relationships with community members, leaders, and stakeholders.
- Conduct community meetings and awareness campaigns to promote SWM practices.
- Identify and address community needs and concerns related to SWM.
- Training and Capacity Building:
- Design and deliver training programs on SWM best practices for community members.
- Develop training materials and resources in Odia.
- Conduct regular follow-up and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
- Empower the community to take ownership of their SWM.
- Project Implementation and Monitoring:
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of SWM projects.
- Collect and analyze data to track project progress and impact.
- Prepare regular reports on project activities and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of all project activities.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Coordinate with local government officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among different stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at community meetings and events.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document all community based interactions.
- Prepare monthly reports of progress.
- Maintain accurate records of all trainings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (Sociology, Social Work, Rural Development, or related field).
- 1-3 years of experience in community mobilization and development projects.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
- Strong understanding of SWM principles and practices (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work in remote areas.
Language Skills:
- Mandatory: Fluency in Odia (both spoken and written).
