CYDA operates on the belief that youth are a powerful resource; when effectively mobilized, supported, and invested in, they can become agents of social change and transformation.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Project Executive to join our team and contribute to our Solid Waste Management (SWM) initiatives in Kakatpur, Puri District. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of community mobilization and experience in delivering training programs. You will play a crucial role in engaging with local communities, building their capacity, and ensuring the successful implementation of our SWM projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Community Mobilization:
    • Develop and implement strategies for community engagement and mobilization.
    • Build strong relationships with community members, leaders, and stakeholders.
    • Conduct community meetings and awareness campaigns to promote SWM practices.
    • Identify and address community needs and concerns related to SWM.
  • Training and Capacity Building:
    • Design and deliver training programs on SWM best practices for community members.
    • Develop training materials and resources in Odia.
    • Conduct regular follow-up and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Empower the community to take ownership of their SWM.
  • Project Implementation and Monitoring:
    • Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of SWM projects.
    • Collect and analyze data to track project progress and impact.
    • Prepare regular reports on project activities and outcomes.
    • Maintain accurate records of all project activities.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Coordinate with local government officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among different stakeholders.
    • Represent the organization at community meetings and events.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Document all community based interactions.
    • Prepare monthly reports of progress.
    • Maintain accurate records of all trainings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (Sociology, Social Work, Rural Development, or related field).
  • 1-3 years of experience in community mobilization and development projects.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong understanding of SWM principles and practices (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in remote areas.

Language Skills:

  • Mandatory: Fluency in Odia (both spoken and written).
